T1D Wild and Free Grand Teton Shirt

The phrase T1D Wild and Free began after my daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
She was 6 years old. While my husband and I sat in her hospital room learning how to act as her pancreas, I made the comment that we should never take her backpacking, or be out of cell range. I was terrified of being out of arms reach of her endocrinologist.
Our unstoppable little girl proved to us that although she had T1D, an autoimmune disorder that attacks the pancreas, she was still wild and free.
Within a few months, we were in the mountains, backpacking and exploring.
Type 1 Diabetes is becoming more common.
